The First Ever Parking Meter
The world's first parking meter, known as Park-O-Meter No. 1, is installed on the southeast corner of what was then First Street and Robinson Avenue in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma July 16 in 1935. The parking meter was first explored and discovered of a man named Carl C. Magee, who moved to Oklahoma City from New Mexico in 1927.
The Name Origin
Two Choctaw words were combined to mean red person - "ukla" meaning person and "huma" meaning red to form the word

The first ever shopping cart was invented and used in Oklahoma City at Standard Food Markets in 1937.
The Bombing of Oklahoma City
On April 19, 1995, an unforgettable tragic event took place. Oklahoma City, which is the capital city of the state Oklahoma was bombed by couple of domestic terrorist. Domestic means group behind the attacks rather than their location. It was the largest terrorist attack on U.S. soil until the events of September 11, 2001.
